RQ 235 is a Ti-doped quartz glass applied for high-pressure discharging lamps, Sun tanning systems, low-pressure germicidal lamps and ozone-free reprography lamps. RQ 235 can be compared with GE 219 and PH 304.
RQ 235 is designed to be resistant for a permanent thermal load of app 1,000°C, provided a surface free of impurities such as finger sweat. In case of impurities, the surface might divitrify which leads to a haze of the surface and a decretion of the mechanical strain.
RQ 235 is determined to be foreign-doped and have a UV-control as shown in the transmission curve next to this information.
RQ 235 is available in various vacuum-heated levels:

.RQ 235 V4 . vacuum-baked ( < 5 ppm)
.RQ 235 V40 . vacuum-baked (≤ 1ppm)
