RQ 205 is an undoped quartz glass which is besides others, especially designed for the protection of high quality light sources . due to its transformation and softening temperatures and its slighlty higher impurity level (with respect to RQ 200) it has an excellent workability.
RQ 205 is not separate-doped and consequently has no UV-control. RQ 205 is produced as tubes and used as e.g. sleeves.
The transmission value of RQ 205 is comparable of RQ 200.
RQ 205 is available in differently heated levels, to guarantee specified maximum OH-contents accordingly
